About Curtis McGee

Fitness expert Curtis McGee is a successful entrepreneur and one of the nation's foremost authorities in the health and fitness industry. Born in Los Angeles, California, he now focuses on his personal training services and charitable activism from his Clearwater, Florida community.

Curtis is blessed with athleticism and a God-given ability to motivate himself and his clients toward excellence. Many consider Curtis to be among the world’s most elite trainers.

Academics

As a result of receiving a Football Player of the Year award in high school, Curtis earned a scholarship allowing him to attend Utah State University and play as a starter on the football team for all four years. Academically, Curtis focused on his major in communications and other activities including drama, disc jockeying, and fundraising. As a result of his hard work, Curtis was featured in 1992 The Men of USU Calendar and was voted as the Vice President of the Black Student Union, among other accomplishments.

Early Career: From Modeling to Activism

Upon graduation from college, Curtis had a rewarding stint as a model and pitch person for Nike, Columbia Sportswear, NFL, Apple Computer, and other big-name companies. Curtis was featured in the basketball movie Sunset Park starring Rhea Pearlman and Terrance Howard as well as an NBC movie of the week Cops and Robbers starring Patrick Duffy, William Devane, and Ed Asner.

Curtis has long been involved in community affairs. In 1992 he was honored as Oregon Man of the Year and represented the state in a nationally televised competition host by Donald Trump in Atlantic City. Curtis placed second winning $15,000 and a cruise. It was that same year that Curtis was brought on board by Harris and Brad Marshal as a peak performance training consultant for their sports marketing agency where he worked with many NBA players including Robert Pack , Cliff Robinson, Jerome Kersey, and Doug Christi to name a few.

Now-a-days, Curtis’ list of clientele includes luminaries from the NFL, NBA, WTA, and MTA. Curtis was a member of a four-person cast on ESPN’s Flex Appeal with Kiana Tom. The show aired seven days a week and was the number one rated fitness show in America and a huge international hit.

Curtis has gone on to train one of the biggest names in all of tennis: Ana Kournikova. As Curtis says, "Of all the athletes I’ve trained I mention Ana because she trained very hard and is one hell of an athlete.”

Ana was the highest paid female athlete in the world and was ranked in the top 10 in singles and number one in doubles. Ana’s blockbuster work-out video Basic Elements sold out in a matter of weeks, and featured Curtis who gets credit for assisting in the writing, directing, equipment, and the work-out routine.

Curtis Today

Curtis has directly impacted the lives of thousands of clients through his dynamic skills and proven techniques of personal training. In addition to the corporations, sports teams, medical doctors, and elite athletes that seek his services, Curtis also works with everyday people who want top-notch personal training. In addition, he advocates for Florida youth through the organization, Blue Chip Sports Youth Foundation, and he promotes the ActiTrainer program for his clients and others who he believes will benefit from the amazing product.

When he’s not working out with clients, he devotes time to his charity and to his family, which includes his beautiful wife, Dr. Mary B. Hart, and their children Ben, Meg, and Jess.
